To develop a launch programme for the exciting new ale ‘Bankers Draft’, aimed at both the on and off trade sectors.
This was the first ale in the Counter Culture range and having a big success under our belts already, with the launch of the brewers heritage brands, we decided on the bold approach of having some fun with the ever popular individuals in the banking sector. We ‘banked’ on the name of the ale and led with a rather unsympathetic visual of the chalked outline of a murdered banker outside the Bank of England – with the line "I could murder a bankers". This was extremely well received by the general public who could see the humour in this approach.
The campaign not only secured retail interest and orders, our packaging design won the an award and stirred up some powerful PR in the process!
